Question: If the earth slowly drifted away from the sun, what would the outcome be? thank you

The Earth lies in what is known as the Goldilock’s Zone around our Sun… If we drift further out from the Sun, the year will get longer, we will intercept less energy from the Sun and it will get colder and colder until the oceans freeze and even the air forms a liquid and solid. The further from the Sun to the colder it gets.

If the earth were knocked away from the sun, then we would become cold and dark very quickly.
