I work in a hospital lab and test the blood samples. I look at the results, review them and contact the doctors if anything is urgent. I also perform more tests on samples if required.
I also work in blood transfusion lab. There it is my responsibility to check patient blood samples and provide the right blood products for transfusion.

I work for the Environment Agency here in England and my main role is to help protect and improve our estuarine and coastal waters. I work with a lot of developers and industries that have activities which could negatively impact our water and it is my job to help ensure that they don’t.
We have a new rule that has recently come into force called “Biodiversity Net Gain” which basically says that developers need to actually help to improve the environment – not just cause no harm. I think this is absolutely great and am looking forward to helping manage this in the future.

To find solutions to how to prevent formation of superbugs. I understand how bugs turn into super bugs and also look at newer drugs to help treat infections.
