I went to a run of the mill state school in Yorkshire called Edlington Comprehensive. It was a bit rough and ready shall we say and at the time it was hard, large classes, not much 1-2-1 time with teachers. I realised years later that where you go to school isn’t as important as who you are and how keen you are to learn something new.
