      The Earth lies in what is known as the Goldilock’s Zone around our Sun… If we drift further out from the Sun, the year will get longer, we will intercept less energy from the Sun and it will get colder and colder until the oceans freeze and even the air forms a liquid and solid. The further from the Sun to the colder it gets.
