Cliff Williams answered on 13 Mar 2024:
Pretty much anything and everything. I love learning more about science and nature, about history, about the world and the people in it, I like learning about music and culture, about cooking etc.
I think it is important to learn something new every day. But learning is not just about formal education or reading text books – it is about every day life.

I’m a bit like Cliff… But my preference is to learn about the physical sciences… I’ve never really been interesting in biology or medicine. I also read a lot and listen to loud rock music! It makes me focus my thoughts when I’ve go a hard problem to solve.

I like learning about the natural world. I have a strong interest in geology and I love finding out how landscapes have formed.
I also enjoy learning new crafts, I taught myself how to weave and crochet, and I really enjoy cooking and baking and learning how to improve my skills in the kitchen. -

I love learn about plant science and mythology. Plant gardening and crafting are also interesting things to me. I’m now with some languages courses, japanese and russian but not sure if i will finish them.

Everything! At school science lessons where my favourite.
But now I realise that everything is interlinked. As a scientist I have to write about and explain my work, so English, psychology and languages are useful skills. I play the flute for fun, so music is important.
I love watching TED Talks on YouTube, where I learn about all sorts of interesting topics. Listening to anyone talk about something that interests them is one of my favourite things to do. -

I love learning pretty much anything! That’s partly why I like my job so much; I get to learn about all different areas of science (and sometimes I get to be one of the first people in the world to know something new!).
