Not being afraid to fail, general numeracy and literacy, being able to remember and look up information and past solutions to problems

Patience and persistence, often things don’t go to plan. Definitely being a life-long learner as well, no matter how good a programmer you are there is always something new to learn whether that is a command, or even a new programming software.

Learn programming languages and understand their nuances as if you learn natural languages. More languages you know and ecosystem you aware of – better computer scientist you are.
