Dina Simons answered on 11 Apr 2024:
I’m not an astrophysicist but here are some facts I’ve found! The Milky Way (our galaxy) was formed several hundred million years after the Big Bang. Our sun and solar system formed eight billion years later. Then, Earth and the other planets followed a few hundred million years after that. There are billions of planets and stars in the universe, however it is unlikley that there were any previously formed planets in the same location as ours are today. That’s because it’s taken a really long time for our planet to get to the stage it is at today! I hope that answers your question 🙂
