Question: How important is it, in your opinion, to get your GSCEs?

I think they are pretty important! They don’t lock you into one specific career, but they open doors so that you can choose from a wide range of careers. If you don’t get your GCSEs, you don’t have as many options. That’s not to say that absolutely everyone needs to take that route, and it’s absolutely not to say that some jobs are better or more important than others! I like to have as many choices as I possibly can, so I think GCSEs are important because they give you more choices for your life.

Good question… GCSEs set you up for the future. Although in your career employers rarely ask you about your GCSEs. Typically speaking the GCSE exams set you up for A-levels, which set you up for university which then set you up for employment.
GCSEs will open plentiful doors for career aspirations such as apprenticeships and scholarships, so having good GCSEs will help open up future options.
