• Question: As time goes on it is quite obvious that computing is more advanced would that make your job as a cybersecurity person easier or harder as you may either be unaware of the power and control or on the other hand would you guys be able to understand it and why?

Cybersecurity is a constantly developing field and, inevitably, the good guys can’t anticipate everything that could go wrong or be exploited.

As you say – in the end there might not actually be any ‘bad guys’ just dodgy systems.

And there is potentially a problem with some algorithms. It could be either impractical or impossible to know exactly what they are doing or why they are doing it. Often AI algorithms are singled out as potential ‘black boxes’ that are impossible to understand – but other types can be just as obscure.

This, you have correctly spotted, is a big challenge for your generation.

(Sorry long answer – but good questions often require long answers)
