My Work:
I am a consultant psychiatrist. I am involved in the care of people who experience difficulties with their mental health

My Typical Day:
I start off the work day with checking my diary and emails . I talk to patients alone , with carers / family or with other members of my team; jointly exploring and agreeing treatments that would help them feel better. I attend meetings / have discussions with various professionals who may be involved in the care of patients . I also try to create time to catch up on my admin work when possible. On occasions , I attend meetings aimed at improving patient safety , quality of care delivered to patients, teaching + training , clinical updates etc .

What I'd do with the prize money:
I will work in collaboration with a chosen mental health charity to produce a podcast aimed at providing education / awareness around mental health and well being. I particularly like animated podcasts !

I like a wide variety of music so difficult to choose a favourite !
What's your favourite food?
I love quite a few but if I had to choose , it will be West African cuisine. There is a wide variety of cultures , tastes and dishes represented across a number of countries!
If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!
Travel through the entire globe , get over my phobia of animals( trying really hard as I had a couple of previous bad experiences ) , spend sometime in the year working in a different country to learn and hopefully contribute to their health service
