I live in Reading with my wife, 4 year old and 1.5 year old.
I do Karate when I can and did lots of Jujitsu at Univeristy.
I like doing DIY and making things in my spare time.

My Work:
I currently lead a team of researchers looking at how to make hydrogen more efficiently. In the past I have looked at battery materials and water purification.

My Typical Day:
I drop my son off at nursery and then go to the office. My day is filled with thinking and talking about science and helping to plan what the team will do. My team tell me how things are going (good and bad). I pick my son up on the way home and we do things together in the evening.

What I'd do with the prize money:
I would look to host a demonstration day to show the exciting side of chemistry.
