Question: what made you study animal intelligence.

I actually don’t study animal intelligence so I am not the best person to answer this question! I study animal behaviour, so I am trying to understand why animals do certain things. Sometimes how an animal behaves is used to judge how intelligent it is such as whether or not it can use a tool or how it learns new things (although not all scientists agree on exactly what intelligence is so that is subjective) but that’s not something I focus on.
