      Probably my favourite things is telling other people about science and encouraging younger people like yourselves to think about science as a career.

      What I like about being a scientist is that I am always learning something new so it is nice to be able to apply that knowledge. I also really like seeing my work in a clinical setting benefitting patients.

      One of my favourite daily tasks was microtomy, which is where you work on a microtome. A microtome enables me to cut human tissue at 4um to look at under a microscope. 4um is about half the width of your hair, so it’s really really thin.
