E. coli O157 which is a containment level 3 organism…there are 4 levels in total…1 being the harmless to 4 being most super pathogenic.
100 cells of this bacterium are enough to kill a person. It is a very dangerous microbe. Just to give you an estimate of how small 100 cells are, if we take our gut contents and measure them as a solid mass it will weigh 200 grams and contain 1 trillion cells.
