Highest top speed is definitely a Jaguar E-Pace, which can go as fast as 147mph – but still nowhere near the fastest car ever.
Fastest accelerating is an electric pickup truck called the Ford F-150 Lightning, which can accelerate from 0mph to 60mph in about 4 seconds
Electric cars are generally much much faster accelerating than petrol or diesel cars, because there are a lot fewer parts to get the power to the road
Favourite car is definitely an electric car with solar panels on the sides & roof, because in theory during summer you might never need to charge, so it could be free transport!
I work on the Eurofighter Typhoon, a really fast fighter jet that the Royal Air Force operate. It has two incredibly powerful engines, and can fly at around 1,500mph (around twice the speed of sound!)
I’ve worked on missile systems, which can fly at nearly 5 times the speed of sound (and are fired off aircraft like Eurofighter, which can fly at twice the sped of sound). Working on these systems, you have to be very very sure that your engineering correct!
