Yes, it can be difficult at times. But, I enjoy being a scientist and it often becomes more interesting as a job when things are hard to solve. However, I will say, I don’t like doing adminstrative work and try to avoid it as much as possible.

it can be but the longer you are a scientist the more confidence you develop and when problems come up chances are youve seen them already before so know how to deal with it better and better

It can be hard but that’s also what makes it so rewarding. The feeling when you make progress or solve a problem makes it all worthwhile. If a job was easy then I would probably be less interested and engaged. It’s more fun to push yourself to overcome challenges rather than drift through your career without ever testing yourself!

This really depends on what you mean by “”Hard”.
Does “Hard” mean that I need to study and learn more…..then sometimes yes.
Does “Hard” mean that I need to try, try and try again to get things correct…. then sometimes yes.
Does “Hard” mean that I need to ask for help when I don’t get something….then sometimes yes.
Does “Hard” mean that I just give up?…No, never.

Science and Engineering isn’t about whether it is hard or easy, it is about how you react when something doesn’t go the way you planned. Do you give up or do you try to figure it out and try again?

When footballers don’t score a goal, do they just give up and try a different career or do they just keep trying?

Everything is figureoutable….sometimes time, patience and perseverance is what is needed.
