Kirsty Ross answered on 22 Mar 2024:
It is probably worth taking if you are having trouble with your intestines or are taking antibiotics, so that you can fill your guts with ‘good’ bacteria. However, if you have a good diet and no problems then it probably won’t make much of a difference. You can also simply eat live yoghurts as well for similar benefits.

John Clark-Corrigall answered on 16 Apr 2024:
There are live bacteria within most yoghurts in the UK, but how much actually survive through to the gut is still unknown. The impact that probiotics make can also change person to person. So I think similar to what Kirsty has said, using them (probiotics like Actimel) as a supplement to a balanced diet is the best approach to help the bacteria in our gut thrive in sickness and in health!
