I did ok – 3A* (8-9) ,5A (7-8), 3B (6-7) at GCSE and 3 A (7-9) at A-level. There are some things where I wish I’d worked harder and learned more, but I got good enough grades to end up on the path to my current career.

Mixed. I did well at GCSE, less so at A-Levels. I think this was down to me being unprepared as to how to study effectively. I could get by easily without having to do much, or even any, work up until that point. So I had to teach myself how to prepare for exams at a much later age than my peers.

At university I soon found this was not a unique position to be in, and was able to find some study support groups where we could help each other out.

I suppose the best thing you can do is ask for help?

It’s different in each stage. I was doing much better and enjoyed it more in university because you have more chances to do experiments in the lab.
