Martin Ward answered on 12 Apr 2024:
amethyst isnt really that rare at all, but because it is a natural stone, there will be parts of the world that you can find lots of it, and others tha you simply couldnt. The crystals I work with are mostly medicines and pharmaceuticals (like paracetamol, or ibuprofen). Some of these are rare though as we have crystals on the shelf and solved their structures to be the first to report them, in other words no one else has saw these crystals in the world, ever, apart from us!
