      I live with my girlfriend in Wimbledon, London. I like to learn about new music and artists. I love nature and the ocean, and to eat fish and seafood!

      I am a researcher trying to find new cures for diseases.If some cells are not working well, I try to find ways to correct them by changing the DNA code inside them. (DNA is what makes us who we are and is inside the cells in our body)

    • My Typical Day:

      I wake up (porridge and an espresso).

      I get to work at ~8.30, where I switch on my computer. I then meet with the other researchers and plan what experiments to do in the lab for the day. Then I have lunch with work friends, go back to the lat to continue the experiments and look at my results. I go home at 5.30pm.

      I studied in Portugal and them moved to the UK to work as a scientist.
      In Portugal I graduated in Microbiology at Sciences University and med school in Lisbon.

      I them moved to biotechnology.

      • From year 10 I work in construction during summer for ~1month
      • During uni, I worked at Lidl to save money for tuitions and summer holidays with friends
