My Work:

I lead test programmes for a nuclear company, building miniature versions of our nuclear reactor to understand if we are designing and manufacturing the right product, which is safe and profitable.

I specifically look at materials which we are using within our nuclear reactor, to make sure these do not become weak or degrade in the high temperatures and pressures in the reactor.
My Typical Day:

I wake up and have breakfast at round 7am (crunchy nut and some organs juice). I get to work around 7:45am (I either cycle or get the tram), where I check the latest updates on my test programmes with our suppliers. I then look for continuous improvements in our processes and implement the improvements throughout our business. I have lunch with friends then have updates with my management team in the afternoon. I then cycle home at around 4:30pm.

Continuous improvement is a process where we look for shortfalls or downfalls in our company and find ways to improve the efficiency of our processes.
What I'd do with the prize money:

I would build STEM boxes for my organisation, to have set merchandise, banners, games and leaflets for my company to take out to schools, workshops and careers fairs.
