I live with my partner in Cambridge. ๐ We’re rescuing a black cat called Zara ๐โโฌ๏ธ. When not in the lab I like rowing ๐ฃโโ๏ธ and exploring outdoors!

My Work:
I’m a toxicologist (study of poisons!) and I work to understand how car tyres impact our environment.

I use a mixture of chemistry, biology and engineering to understand how all the rubber particles that come from our tyres impact our environment, from air pollution to our rivers!

Education:
I started at Drogheda Grammar School in Ireland, then I went to Maynooth University, Ireland, University College Dublin and now Cambridge University

Qualifications:
I did my Leaving Cert in Ireland, which got me into a BSc in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Chemistry, I then went to do an Masters in Toxicology. Now I’m doing a PhD in Toxicology

Work History:
I’ve worked on a farm, a shop, as part of an events team, then I got my first lab job as a forensic toxicologist, now I’m a full time researcher!
