I was little, probably 6-7 years old. Someone bought me a book with experiments to do at home. They were easy things like making paper planes, but for me they were awesome! Ever since, I have been asking “why” and looking for answers.

I think always, but I remember doing my brownie science investigator badge when I must have been 8 or 9 and I loved being able to make things change colour.

I always liked ‘experimenting’ but probably didn’t make the connection to it being science until I was in secondary school. That was also when I realised you could get paid to do ‘science’ as a fulltime job.
