• Question: With evolution since we evolved from apes why are there still apes left? shouldn't they of evolved like us?

      They actually have evolved! Humans didn’t evolve from apes the way they are today. Humans and apes have a common ancestor hundreds of thousands of years ago. Some of that ancestor’s descendants evolved to stand more upright, have less body hair, etc., and eventually became us. Other descendants evolved different characteristics and eventually became the modern apes.

      Humans and apes are both still evolving and likely will be for as long as they exist. In another 100,000 years, both of us will probably look and act quite different!
