Martin McCoustra answered on 24 Jan 2024:
I’ve been around a long time, and I’d probably say I’m an old prog rocker… Grew up with the Beatles and moved on the Pink Floyd, Genesis, and Emerson, Lake and Palmer in the 70s and 80s. Still a fan of David Gilmour and Roger Waters. Even follow Nick Mason’s band a Saucerful of Secrets! Still into prog from modern bands like Mogwai.
I’m also partial to Springsteen and the Eagles!

Michael Capeness answered on 24 Jan 2024:
That’s a difficult question and very much depends on the day I’m having. I grew up listening to music from the 1960/70’s so Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix, and still listen to them quite a lot. But I’ve also diversified into more ‘recent’ stuff like Radiohead, The Manic Street Preachers, Nine Inch Nails,…and now lots of electronic music.

I don’t think I have a favourite. If something sounds good, I will listen, lol. I do like Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Adele and John Legend

I have pretty broad music tastes. London Grammar is surely up there with my favourites. I like old-school bands though as well, like Genesis, and less mainstream bands like Imagine Dragons. As a huge listener of EDM genres, mainly my music tastes focus on solo artists/DJs.

Fergus McKiddie answered on 24 Jan 2024:
I’ve always liked heavy metal and punk – basically anything that annoyed my parents and now my wife and kids! Favourites include Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Motorhead, Rush, Scorpions, The Damned, Dead Kennedys, NOFX, etc. My hearing has never recovered from seeing Motorhead in Glasgow many years ago. In terms of more recent stuff, I like Rammstein, Baroness, Drive By Truckers and probably my favourite of all, Mastodon.

I swap between indie bands like Wombats and Sea girls, to quite acoustic music, like Tracey Chapman and Grace Petrie, but I also like some feel-good cheesy music like Whitney Houston and Dolly Parton. My most listened to artist that I’ll always enjoy is George Ezra.

Alberto Granero answered on 24 Jan 2024:
I like listening to many different bands, it depends on the mood. From Metallica to The Baseballs… everything in between.

Rachel Edwards answered on 24 Jan 2024:
I love loads of music. If I’m out dancing or at a gig, it’s probably something like Churches or Terrorvision or Imagine Dragons. Mostly I like listening to Radio 1 because there’s always something different. At the moment I’m enjoying Dua Lipa – Houdini, and always like what Miley Cyrus does. The Last Dinner Party is a new band I’m enjoying!

I love music and all different types – it depends on what mood I’m in as to what I want to listen to. When I was a teenager in the 1990s(!) I loved alternative/grunge bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Nowadays I’m partial to The 1975 and Sam Fender.
