Question: what is the average amount of blood in the human body

There is about 5 litres of blood in the average human body. It is about 7-8% of an adult’s body weight and about 8-9% of a child’s body weight.

5 litres, wow that’s only like 13 cans of fizzy drink.

When you are born, you have virtually no blood at all because you borrowed your Mum’s blood. By the time you are five, you have nearly as much blood as an adult and once you are an adult, your body is so good at making it, that you can give some away several times a year as a donation and your body will just make more.
