I have a really nice shift pattern at the moment where I only ever work Monday – Thursday. I alternate between a week of day shifts (07:00 – 16:45) and a week of late shifts (16:30 – 02:15). Obviously it’s quite a long shift, but having a 3 day weekend is brilliant and I’d really struggle to go back to working Monday – Friday now I think!
I work for the Royal Air Force and they are also very generous with the amount of annual leave we can take. If you travel a lot with the job, you ‘earn’ some extra leave too, so I’ve had some years where I’ve had around 50-60 days annual leave I could take. Loads of time for holidays and relaxing!

Yes! Even if you absolutely love your job, everyone needs time to take their mind off work to rest and have fun 😊

Yes. I get 5 weeks of holiday per year, plus bank holidays. It is important to rest and recharge your batteries.
