My Work:
I work for GSK which is a Pharmaceutical company as a Clinical Trials Degree Apprentice. I also study Applied Biology at the University of Kent.

I work in the Development section of the organisation which means we develop safe and effective new medicines to cure all sorts of diseases. I specifically work in clinical trials so managing how we test these new drugs on patients all across the globe. I studied Maths, Geography and Biology in school and loved all of them!

My Typical Day:
I start work at 9am, sometimes I work in an office but sometimes I work from home. Right now I am involved with the Labs that test the samples for the clinical trials so I spend the day communicating with them. I check samples on our online database and help out where I can!
Once a week, I study Applied Biosciences at the University of Kent (usually on Friday). This is all remote learning!
I finish work at 5pm

What I'd do with the prize money:
I would love to promote apprenticeships! I think they are a great way to continue education and grow as a person so I would love to put out some more details about apprenticeships to students to everyone feels confident applying if they want!

I went to Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls in Birmingham

I have GCSE’s in triple science, maths. english, spanish, business studies, geography, computer science.
My A level’s are in Biology, Geography and Maths

After school, I came straight to GSK (where I am now)!
During school I did all sorts of work like at a chinese takeaway and at the christmas markets.

A couple times, nothing too serious though and I made amends!

I would be at University studying Biotehnology
