Pete Webb answered on 25 Jun 2024:
The shape of a rock depends on 3 things: i) its composition (e.g., sandstone, limestone, granite, basalt), ii) the processes that the rock has been through (e.g., sedimentation, metamorphism, erosion) and iii) the amount of time that the rock has existed since it was formed (e.g., some rocks undergo erosion very rapidly and are sharply angular, whereas others are transported in rivers or are eroded on a beach and end up being very smooth and rounded). That’s why!
