The overwhelming belief with scientists who studied the virus (virologists) is that it most likely came from a wild animal which passed it on to a human.
The idea that it was intentionally made or specifically released is just considered a conspiracy theory at this point.

Most scientists and engineers do not believe that covid was scientifically made.
