  Yes, we use AI in our work very often. As you have correctly pointed out, AI does help a lot to make faster and better progress in the research.

AI is not a panacea, but cleverly used mathematics and machine learning helps indeed. Check out this article from 2015 “Pigeons (Columba livia) as Trainable Observers of Pathology and Radiology Breast Cancer Images”. Yes, you read it right. Animal Intelligence works as good as people if not better 😉.
